Hi, I speak to a lot of different people and sell our services. I had hard time thinking to why people give me some business. Is it because they trust me ( or) they badly want what we sell. I may be diplomatic by saying there are a lot of factors involved. But in the end it all boils down to results. People buy because they want to see results and they need it to be of some use to them.

My co-workers tell me at the end of the day, we all are sales guys and we speak business and not make any personal commitments. But few of the prospects i spoke to tell me that its pure business and they don't trust me because i work for my company and not for theirs.

But few other guys say that i am persistent, very good, friendly, have a magic in my voice which makes them believe that i cant tell a lie. One of my clients call me " Son ". I still don't know why.
So my answer to why they buy from us is; " Trust in You ". Everybody knows by the end of the day we speak dollars and pounds. But the unseen truth is that they trust you beyond borders.

Hi, I spoke to some gentlemen who owned a online store today. When i introduced myself and when i was half way explaining what we can do to improve his sales and traffic to his site; he told he honestly he would not be interested. Most Sales and Business executives would have come across this situation. But only a few would have came out of this in one piece.

What i did was, I told him his site's product page was pretty decent and there was a slight problem with his image sizing. Believe it or not, he started paying attention and asked me if he could do any more changes to his site and finally he told he is interested. Unfortunately, he told he dint have the budget to do so. " Ha ha ha ha "

Anyway the final conclusion is that don't give up when you are only half way through when talking business or making sales. Fight till the end and remember; "It doesn't matter if you win or loose; It only matters to how hard you tried "

All the best guys. " Attitude Matters"

Hey guys. One of my colleague and an author of this blog had a prospect who worked as a sales executive for a company and wanted to bring sales some how. We planned to write a blog for him and keep posting articles about the products he sells and to list them in the top 10 article sites and drive traffic.

When every thing was ok and we were to sign the documents to start the work, he called us and told that his management wanted him to quit the company due to some internal issues. My colleague expressed his condolence and gave him a warm goodbye.

Guess what he told ? He told he will not forget us and will definitely call back after he joins a new company. So what if he becomes a key person in some other company and he still is a very good prospect and a good friend.

The online merchant market is a free entry market. Anyone with a minimal investment can become an e-tailer (other jargon for online merchant). I personally know a lot of merchants who don't even have a warehouse or a store selling the products, they own a website with products and once an order is taken the item will be drop shipped by a distributor with whom the merchant is contracted with.
http://www.dropshipfeed.com/ is a similar distributor with whom online merchants are signing up with.
This type of system gives plenty of room for the merchant to concentrate only on marketing his website and leaving the mundane logistics and customer support worry to the distributor. These type of e-tailers are called as drop shippers. For drop shippers, Marketing and PR becomes a time taker in any days work. Most of them due to financial constraints try attracting traffic to their website through search engine marketing (Includes vertical search engines like CSEs), affiliate network etc.,
As this market is an easy entry market they would be facing tough competition. There would be thousands of merchants selling similar products. So before becoming a merchant you should also plan for a clean exit strategy. You should know when to quit a particular product line, a particular category or even bid adieu to the business. Remember that at times a loss might pull you so badly that it will be hard for you to come up again.
To succeed in this industry merchants should always keep themselves abreast of the market knowing what are all the top products that can be sold at that particular moment; where it can be sold; what price it should be sold; what are the various prices points quoted by other merchants and who are all the competitors.
But again, gathering all the information requires a lot of time and effort to specialize. Mostly being one man army and low financed, such online merchants seek the help of professional outsourcing companies which could do the job for them.

If you sell products online on your site, you always want to keep a lookout for what's happening and how you are going to move on with sales. Everything depends on some basic factors.

· Popularity of your website
· Popularity of you store in the state and nation wide
· Regular Shoppers
· Good shipping facilities
· Customer Support

But if you want to stay ahead of the race, you need to list your products in the shopping sites and follow the right strategies at the right time.

Scenario ---> Shopping site to go for

1. Good Sales --> Cost per click shopping sites + Free listing shopping sites like Google Product Search

2. Average Sales --> Cost per click shopping sites + Cost per sales shopping sites + Free listing shopping sites

3. Below Average --> Free Listing Shopping sites + Cost per sale shopping sites

4. No sales --> Write Articles and submit them to the top article sites + Google product search

Scenario ---> Advertising

1. Good Sales --> Google Ad sense + Yahoo Search engine Marketing

2. Average Sales --> Google Ad sense + Articles and submit them to the top article sites + Blog writing

3. Below Average --> Articles and submit them to the top article sites + Blog writing

4. No sales --> Articles and submit them to the top article sites + Blog writing

Another important thing is to keep bench marking your competitors and always upgrade to “State of the art technology and Strategy”.

You have made the decision on starting an online business. You want to do it! Then dont look back !
The first step is picking a business area. Contrary to your instincts, do not pick something specific in the business area. For example, let us assume you want to start an online business providing strategies for saving money. Your business area is money. Don’t make the mistake of jumping to a more specific area. Instead, do some research and start.
